Rugby in the province of British Columbia can be traced back to the 1860's. Since the earliest days the sport
in our province has flourished. The success of rugby in British Columbia is attributed to those players, coaches, refereees
and administrators who have, over the years, given much of their time, effort and expertise.
To acknowledge the most distinguished rugby men and women of their era, the British Columbia Rugby Union implmented the
BC Rugby Hall of Fame in 2005.
The physical hall of fame is housed on the ground level of the Brockton Pavillion, where the Brockton Society gracously permitted
BC Rugby to utilize the space. Each year a new crop of inductees enter the hall of fame and are officially welcomed at the Annual
Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, presented by Fairmont Hotels and Resorts.
As the list of inductees continues to grow, and are listed on this website, more and more stories are told and we are best able to
honour those individuals who have made rugby in British Columbia what it is today.
